Hi Reader The Power Of Purpose For Creative Professionals |
Purpose is a word we hear a lot, but it’s often not given the importance it deserves in the creative world. We often advise our clients to “find their why,” but we sometimes forget to apply this to our own lives and careers. For creative professionals like you, the allure of recognition, reputation, awards, fame, and financial success can lose its shine when faced with challenging situations. Simply put, the things you thought your creative career would bring you can disappoint you in an instant. Every experienced creator has, at some point, asked themselves, “Why am I doing this?” Having a clear understanding of why you do creative work, especially when it’s tough, not only helps you get through the difficult times but also takes your work from good to exceptional. Creating with a deep understanding of your purpose in the world and the impact you make adds a unique dimension to your creative efforts that can’t be achieved by winning more awards or charging higher fees. Creating with purpose is like an “x-factor” that clients can sense, colleagues can recognise, and others aspire to in their own work. - Meet Rajesh Pasungili, the founder and CEO of Resolute.education, who is purposefully transforming local schools into edtech super hubs. I recently had Rajesh as a guest on the Creative Minds At Work show, where we discussed the role of technology in education, finding your purpose, committing to lifelong learning, and staying focused during tough times. You can watch the full episode below, and stay tuned for more insights from Rajesh throughout the week. - Here’s to a more purposeful you. Thanks for reading. You’ve got this. |
